I asked the tarot today how long it would take for the young senator to write and pass her first piece of legislation and out came the Seven of Swords.
The suit of Swords is represented by the air element. Air symbolizes the realm of human thought which is an appropriate indicator when it comes to legislation. After all, laws really only exist in the minds of the men and women who create and follow them. Here we see a young, and rather well-dressed thief, making a quick getaway from a few tents. The look on his face is one of self-satisfaction. Note that he left two swords while getting away with five. It becomes clear that as he tip toes away he is quite pleased with himself and his bounty.
The feeling I get is that Ms. Taijeron will be tip-toeing away in her Uggs when it comes to her first foray into writing legislation. Perhaps she will have to make some concessions, as noted by the two swords left behind. But she will clearly get most of what she wants which is still reason to celebrate. The clandestine nature of the card also implies that perhaps the issue she intends to pass and the way in which it does pass catches people off guard. Such a move might be seen as a coup for Ms. Taijeron but if you look closely at the left side of the card there is a small group of shadowy figures in the distance, one with a sword raised. They could indicate that there are those who are up to Ms. Taijeron’s tricks and would feel not only justified, but downright gleeful at having a chance to one-up the senator.
The card is implying that someone is using cunning to get what he, or she, wants and caution is recommended lest such actions bring about a swift downfall. If Ms. Taijeron is successful then the victory will be that much sweeter at knowing how masterful her political strategizing was. However, there are others watching quite closely.
Slutina’s forecast: Ms. Taijeron’s legislation will be drafted quickly as this is a card of haste. She will be ready to sink her teeth into the legislative process, employing whatever tactics necessary to get her win and if so, it should come swiftly. But take caution girl because hungry eyes are watching and ready to put an end to your party. Should they catch you then be prepared for a setback, likely major. However, if the senator hits the ground running then she may be way too far ahead of the pack to catch. At that point, she will get most of what she wants. Either way looks like things will get quite eventful around these parts!
